Well, I am obviously not very good at keeping up with these, but I’m determined to keep trying! The past few weeks have been busy for me, and I’ve found myself in a weird reading slump. I haven’t stopped reading. I just haven’t been reading one book enough to finish it. Instead, I’m at least 100 pages into five books right now. To be honest, this is not an unusual situation for me to be in. I have finished a couple of shorter books, and I plan to get reviews up for those soon (although I have no idea how I’m going to review one of them because it’s just a crazy, silly book). Anyway, here are the five books I’m reading right now.
1. The Bladed Faith by David Dalglish
I am about 80 pages into The Bladed Faith by David Dalglish. It is very good so far, but for one reason or another, I put it down for a while. I’m almost done with this next book, so I’ll probably pick it back up this week. I really want to finish it because it reminds me so much of Dishonored. I also need to read the sequel. It keeps giving me dirty looks from the table by my recliner. I need to finish them both!
2. Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
I only need to read about 150 more pages to be done with this book. I started it last week when I didn’t feel up to reading anything else I had already started. It is so good, and it’s so sad in places. I also want to strangle a couple of characters because they seem to refuse to communicate which leads to unnecessary drama. I hope to finish this tomorrow (heh), and I’ll try to get a review up by next week. Keep an eye out for it!
3. The Magician’s Daughter by H. G. Parry
This is another book that I’m really enjoying reading. I think I’m about 75 pages into this one, and I foresee myself sitting down one evening this week to finish it all in one sitting. I really like the magical elements to this story, and I’m excited to see what happens between the two main characters. I also hope the mystery surrounding the female main character is explained soon because I need to know who she is and where she came from!
4. Into the Windwracked Wilds by A. Deborah Baker
This is the third book in the Up-and-Under series, and I have been enjoying the series so far. However, for some reason this book is just dragging along for me. I’m about halfway through it, so I only have about 100 pages of reading left. Unfortunately, I feel like this series has gotten repetitive. Avery and Zib seem to bounce from one mistake or disaster to another without there being any resolution to the story. There seems to be a lot of filler. I don’t know. I’ll try to finish this book by the end of the week, and maybe I’ll feel differently about it by then.
5. Son of the Storm by Suyi Davies Okungbowa
I am having a lot of fun reading this book. There’s magic and cultural tension and political intrigue and mystery. It’s right up my alley, and I need to finish it so I can read the sequel when it comes out later this year. I probably won’t finish it this week, but I will finish it soon.
Have you read any of these books? Would you like to? Let me know in the comments!
Tomorrow, Tomorrow is definitely on my TBR! I’ve heard from most people that it is good but there are a few that didn’t like it. I’m doing several at once too just wished I had more time hehe. Happy Reading my friend!

I am really enjoying it so far but I can see how some people may not like it depending on what expectations they had going into it.
